Hi guys! Today I want to share with you a powerful 5 min meditation for personal growth. I love it! I try to integrate this meditation in my days every day. This technique might be also helpful for you when you can answer the following questions with yes:

Are you sometimes anxious? Stuck in the past or worrying about the future? Do you sometimes think you’re not good enough and believe others are so much better than you? Are you sometimes jealous/possessive, and self-pity is well known to you? Do you sometimes have unpleasant emotions that distract you from living in the present moment?

I could answer all this questions with a big YES all my life. I’m grateful that I could change my perspective on life and I can show up for life with a big smile now. I found my center, inner peace and show my true self to the world. Of course there’s still emotions and thoughts that try to distract me from living and enjoying the present moment, I won’t lie or gloss over, but I tell you what: I can most of the time instantly shift the emotion into its positive counterpart and use the powerful energy of the emotion (energy in motion) in a positive way.

Gratefulness is Key

So we can always be grateful when we’re haunted by an unpleasant sensation, as we have the ability to transform it and use the power of the emotion in any situation in life. If we’re sad for example due to our limiting beliefs in our current mindset, we can transform the power of this sad emotion into joy. If this sounds great to you, then try this transformative 5 min meditation:

  • Sit comfortably in a crossed legged position. Close your eyes. Exhale completely through your mouth. Hold your breath as long as you can but relax your abdomen.
  • Trust yourself. Inhale through your nose slowly but completely. Hold your breath as long as you can, contract your pelvic floor, gently press your chin onto your chest, relax your abdomen.
  • Feel the unpleasant emotion/sensation and say “I accept this unpleasant sensation as it is”, then look back up, relax your pelvic floor and inhale completely into the area where you can feel the unpleasant sensation.
  • Hold your breath as long as you can, then open your eyes, stick out the tongue and exhale completely producing a lion sound. While exhaling look up to your 3rd eye. Stay in this position as long as you can, then repeat this 10 times.
  • After that stay seated, close your eyes and observe your body and mind for a couple of normal breaths.
  • Imagine then a situation in life, where you felt so alive, grounded and confident. Feel into the positive emotion you had back then. Inhale deeply into the areas in the body where the emotions manifest.
  • As soon as you can feel a heartwarming feeling in the area of your heart centre / heart chakra, bring your hands into prayer in front of your heart and say ‘thank you’.

Congratulations, you successfully recoded your neuronal network. Tell me in the comments below how this imagination meditation worked for you and what you would like me to write about in a next blog post! I appreciate you.
